Malaria Vaccines Test Successful

Recent tests of two vaccines on children in Africa show real promise for ending the scourge of malaria. Two breakthrough papers published early Monday morning in the New England Journal of Medicine report the success of a pair of new vaccines tested in groups of children in Africa. In studies each vaccine was found to more than halve malaria infections in participating children over six months. The hope is to have a completed formulation of the vaccine ready for approval by 2011. Source: Time
