Gates and Rockefeller Foundation teams up to fight hunger in Africa

The Bill and Melinda gates foundation will be teaming up with the Rockefeller Foundation to combat hunger in Africa. The new program will be similiar to that of Rockefeller Foundation's earlier program, The Green Movement, which saw great increases in wheat, rice, and corn in Southeast Asia and Latin America. The Gates Foundation will donate $100 million initially, with Rockefeller donating $50 million. The $150 million dollars will help develop a system that will improve financing, access and distribution to and by small farmers. They are targeting Africa because they are the only region that has relative population growth with a decline in food production.
