Zimbabwe Injecting Serious $$ into Educating Their Kids

With the help of UNICEF, the government of Zimbabwe will be injecting US$70 million into the education system within the country in an effort to "reverse the rapid decline of a sector once regarded as the finest in sub-Saharan Africa."

This money will be used to purchase text books, school supplies, and uniforms - all of which were often placed upon poor families to supply, which in turn has been blamed for the decline in school enrollment over the years.

This very interesting article goes on to outline the collaboration that will take place between UNICEF, the Zimbabwean government as well as numerous other international agencies that will all be working together in a concerted effort to bring education back to the children and families of Zimbabwe.
