Tiny Sprinkles Help Save Lives

One third of all children around the world die before their fifth birthday because of malnutrition, most of them in Africa and other parts of the developing world. In many cases, their parents can afford to give them food, but it is far from adequate to meet their vitamin and mineral needs.

Enter Sprinkles, and other micro-nutrient powdes now being distributed by the United Nations and non-governmental organizations around the world. This simple little food additive does not change the look or taste of food, but adds a boost of the essential vitamins that are needed and lacking in the diets of children within the developing world.

Efforts such as these help the UN and world leaders in meeting the needs and goals of Millennium Development Goal #1 - end extreme hunger.
