Starting today, we will be bringing you a photo of the day feature. Each picture was a submission to the UN Development Program's photo contest "Picture This: We Can End Poverty" and captures an aspect of one of the MDGs.
This first photo comes from The Philippines featuring the bountiful effects of updated irrigation techniques. MDG1 is to "eradicate extreme poverty and hunger."
