The United Nations is urging countries to create bailout packages not just for failing businesses and banks, but also for the millions of people that will go hungry next year around the world. The UN World Food Programme (WPF) will need $5.2 billion at the beginning of next year to support their programs fighting world hunger. The WPF could fund its work with just one percent of the money being proposed for current bailout packages.
