Better Agriculture and Drinking Water

The United Nations held a meeting to discuss harnessing Africa's natural resources to provide clean drinking water for villages, irrigation systems, and major river basins for agriculture and the development of hydroenergy. They proposed a $65 billion, 20-year Blue Revolution water management program which will be critical in providing food and water for people. The UN Food and Agriculture Organization has organized a 3-day conference for delegates from 53 different African nations to meet and discuss this proposal.
