Stand Up, Take Action Against Poverty is a UN sponsored event to mobilize the world to stand against poverty and show their political leaders that we want them to honor the 2000 UN Millennium Development Goals to end Poverty by 2015. Next weekend around the world millions of people at thousands of events will literally stand up, to symbolically end poverty. Last year over 116 million people participated in this event from around the globe. We will be participating this year in Seattle. If you would like to come end poverty we will be the Westlake Park in downtown Seattle at 3:00PM on Friday October 16th. Its short and its powerful. Tell your political leaders that this needs to happen.
