Obama Announces Nobel Prize Money Will Fund Other Charities

President Obama recently received $1.4 million for winning the Nobel Peace Prize; though he announced Thursday that he will give it all away.

The largest amount, summing to $250,000 is going to the Fisher House, which provides places for families to stay at in military medical centers while family members are receiving treatment. The second largest donation, $200,000 is allotted for the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.

Other donations focus on assisting minorities in college, and other general education funds. For a more complete listing visit the NPR news blog.
