Philanthropy + Capitalist = Philanthrocapitalist??



A new breed of philanthropists have emerged from around the world that seek to apply the same zeal to donating money as they do to making it.

The following article from the Wall Street Journal hightlights some top philanthropists and charity executives and asks them how they would spend $10 billion to best alleviate the world's problems.

While the answers ranged from infrastructure and entrepreneurship to global health and education they all shared similar paths for achieving such lofty goals: due diligence, transparency and accountability - "ideas that thrive on quantifiable data".
