Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen Blocks Clean Water to 100 Million People

Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (Miami) has utilized her leadership role on the House Foreign Affairs Committee to block the Water for the World Act (H.R. 2030) from passing. The life-saving bill would provide 100 million impoverished people with access to clean water. The bill passed unanimously in the Senate and has over 95 bipartisan cosponsors in the House. With less than one month remaining, Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen is the sole road block to the bill passing. The Borgen Project's supporters in Miami and the Florida Keys are encouraged to immediately contact her office (305-668-2285) in support of the bill.
