Choose for Change is a challenge intended to raise money for the World Partnership Walk by June 12, 2011. The World Partnership Walk is an international initiative by the Aga Khan Foundation to create awareness on global poverty and provide funds for helping the world's poor. Choose for Change challenges smartphone users to find out what owners are the most generous: iPhone, Android, BlackBerry or Windows Phone.
Choose for Change has had a similar challenge in the past, previously determining which social network users were the most generous. The result of that challenge was $1,800 raised and Twitter crowned as the most generous social network. This time, Choose for Change is looking to vastly exceed that amount and raise at least $10,000.
All of the money raised by the Choose for Change Challenge will go directly towards the development projects of the World Partnership Walk. Furthermore, the amount raised by the Walk will be matched by other major donors, meaning that your donation will be multiplied and have a real impact on people's lives.
As of June 2nd, iPhone users were the most generous with $677.02 donated. BlackBerry, Android and Windows users were much farther back. To donate, simply go to www.chooseforchange.com and click the donate button underneath your phone category.
