"Poor Farmers are Not a Problem to be Solved...They are the Solution" - Bill Gates

With more than a billion people living in abject poverty, the majority of them depend upon farming for food and income. With this in mind, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation proposes that investing in agriculture can help small farmers grow enough food to feed their families and millions of others.

According to Gates, by investing in agriculture, it can reduce poverty and hunger and improve nutrition. But this change must be led by the farmers themselves in order to be adapted to meet local conditions.
